St. Louis Lambert International Airport

St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) is a big international airport characterized by about 259 daily departures to 78 locations in the USA and abroad. For this reason, its stable functioning is vital for guaranteeing that passengers from the area will be able to satisfy their transportation needs. The airport offers a wide range of services, including safe transportation, rest, ordering flights, package transportation, and currency exchange (“Services,” n.d.). The given offerings are vital for ensuring that clients benefit from using STL’s services and have positive feelings during the flight.

At the same time, the airport is focused on protecting all people and preventing accidents that might cause harm to passengers, aircraft, or personnel. Security systems are equipped with full-body scanners placed in checkpoint areas close to gates to ensure that no prohibited or dangerous items are carried by passengers (“Security,” n.d.). Passengers are recommended to arriver earlier and have IDs to avoid problems and enjoy a safe flight. Some possible improvements might help to increase protection levels. Check-in procedures can be reconsidered by using early bag stores (EBS). They provide an opportunity to store bags before they are loaded onto the aircraft. It means that passengers will spend less time during all security procedures. Moreover, the airport will acquire a chance to improve its security system due to the opportunity to monitor suspicious packages at EBS zones or devote more time to other activities instead of working with numerous passengers at the same time. Online check-in can also be viewed as a possible alternative to avoid problems and ensure that all individuals enjoy a high level of safety and comfort at the same time.
